But before we go, I have a few things coming up. One is the Verde Artist Challenge this weekend. Something like 25 artists will be kayaking down the Verde River to gather resource material for a traveling exhibit that will happen later this summer. It's for raising awareness of both the Verde River Watershed's beauties and its fragile future. You can follow the progress on the Verde Artist Challenge Facebook page. Although I won't be kayaking, I will be joining the group via car at the campsite.
Also, I want to let you know about some upcoming workshops that are imminent. I always enjoy these cross-country workshops. They not only break up the trip, but they give me a chance to spend some in-depth time with new locations and to meet new people!
